Are You Ready to Be a Real Estate Investor?

This simple Rule will Help You Decide

Nurses who take care of us during the last days of our lives are called palliative care nurses. They sit and help people cope with pain and other issues in the later hours of life. To a person, they say the most common thing to hear from those near the end of life on the planet is regret.

They wish they had started this business, invested in this stock or real estate, or married a particular person they broke up with in college. It’s about regrets.

I hear it in those with much time left on the planet but still afraid to act. “If I had only done this 20 years ago, as you did if I had only bought this property and invested ten years ago.”

It goes on and on.

Regrets for action not taken.

I am sorry if I am encouraging you to build regret in this newsletter and my podcast. I know that it is difficult to overcome a lack of action. I see it every day.

Occasionally, I test the hypothesis. I offer someone a crazy deal that any investor would jump at, and again, they fail to act. I offered someone a lot the other day at 50% of its value for tax purposes. They had to “think about it.” But they asked, “When do you think its value will increase?” I was offering the deal because they were a family member. I knew they didn’t dare to act.

Few people want to roll up their sleeves and get to work to understand money or investments. Doing the work means developing an action plan, and I believe 99% of people won’t act on an actual investment. It’s easier not to do the work, dream and later regret.

My rule to help you decide where you stand is the three-month rule. If three months have passed since you started considering buying a real estate investment, and you haven’t offered or purchased anything, stop thinking about it. You aren’t a real estate investor, and claiming to be one will fill you with regret now and in your final days.

Instead, buy a bond or give your money to a low-IQ bank Investment person and close your eyes. Never speak of real estate investing again, and please never contact me. Do no longer subscribe to this newsletter and stop listening to my podcast.

You can’t invest in real estate. You aren’t capable. No regrets.
